On Tuesday 20^th June, Year 6 visited a local Gurdwara in Southall. The visit coincided with our ‘other faiths’ week in which we have been learning about Sikhism. During our visit, we observed ‘langar’ in which the Gurdwara provides food for those that visit. This was a great experience as we were able to see the generosity and charity the Sikh community provide to the community. After, we attended congregational worship where the Guru Granth Sahib is based. This was a very moving experience as we could see the strong faith the attendees had. Finally, we continued our tour by entering a large room with stained glass and our guide provided us with more information on the principles of the Sikh religion and answered any questions we had. An amazing and humbling experience for all.
