5Y gave a fantastic performance explaining how Joseph Vaz began life in a little village in Goa, India and eventually became a great missionary spreading the Word of God.  He travelled extensively in India and settled in Ceylon (now Sri Lanka).  Joseph Vas is known today for his compassionate and loving manner as well as a number of miracles.  He lived life like Jesus, letting his light shine and spreading love wherever he went.  Joseph Vaz was recognised by the Church and became Saint Joseph Vaz.
