5D performed a superb class assembly on Saints Perpetua and Felicity this week. Both women were Christian martyrs who lived during the early persecution of the Church in Africa by the Emperor Severus. They refused to renounce their faith, despite having young families, and as a result, they were thrown into an arena with wild animals. Despite this, they were not killed and so were put to death by the sword. Today we remember their courage, bravery and unwavering faith.
