MAIN SCHOOL - RECEPTION (FS2) TO YEAR 6:

School Day: Reception – Year 6: 8.50am to 3.30pm (33.3 hours a week)

Lunchtime: all children have a one-hour lunch break which is staggered for different age groups.

START OF THE SCHOOL DAY:
The school gate is opened at 8.35am for a soft start. Children from year 1 to 6 will enter school through the school gate, saying goodbye to their parents/carers at the gate. They will go directly to their classroom. Children need to be in class by 8.50am at the latest.
Parents/carers of children in Reception class are welcome to bring their child/ren directly to the reception playground, saying goodbye to them at the gate.
In the summer term when your child is settled and confident you are asked to say goodbye to them at the main gate.

END OF THE SCHOOL DAY:
The playground gate is opened at 3.30pm. Reception pupils will be picked up from the classroom for the first few weeks until the children are settled. Pick up will then be from the reception playground.
Teachers will line up children from year 1 – year 6 in the main playground. Parents are asked to stand back from the lines until the children are safely lined up with their teacher.

It is essential that all children say goodbye to the class teacher before leaving with a parent/carer.

Class teachers should be informed in writing where parents of children in Year 6 have provided their authorisation for their child to make their own way home.

 

NURSERY (FS1):

Morning Session: 8.40am to 11.40am
Afternoon Session: 12.40pm to 3.40pm
30 Hour Session: 8.40am to 3.40pm
 

START OF THE SCHOOL DAY:
Entrance to the school is through the main blue gates opposite the Parish centre.
Parents/carers will accompany their child to the Nursery door. In the first few weeks, if your child is finding it difficult to separate from you, you may take them into class, where necessary to help them settle. The school gate is open for a soft start between 8.35am and 8.50am. Children need to be in class by 8.50am at the latest. The gate will open for the afternoon group at 12.40pm.
In the summer term if your child is settled and confident to leave you at the main gate you may leave your child at the gate and watch them walk down to the nursery.

END OF THE SCHOOL DAY:
NURSERY MORNING SESSION:
A member of the Nursery staff will open the school playground gate at 11.40am for parents/carers to collect their child/ren.
AFTERNOON NURSERY SESSION:
The playground gate is opened at 3.30pm for Reception - Year 6 pick up. Nursery pick up is between 3.30pm and 3.40pm.
